Who doesn't love a good slumber party? I had a pretty sweet weekend. I went to the library, hung out at a friend's house, had a sleepover, and enjoyed all the wonders of Garage Sale Day. My very favorite part of my Friday and Saturday, though was getting to experience believe, a Christ in Youth conference just for middle schoolers. It was like a rock concert, stunt show, illusion exhibition, youth group lesson, live art show, and movie all mixed into one. Just imagine Devos Fieldhouse filled to the brim with middle school aged kids with a huge stage in the front, a smaller one in the middle, a tiny room where art is made off to the side, and a high bar next to the art room. Brent the stunt guy was awesome and did all sorts of back flips off of stuff and aerials off a mini trampoline, and he was the star of the mini-movie which was about the stuff be learned during the seminars. There were also all sorts of cool people playing music for us, Eric Timm the artist who created art during the sessions, A cool youth pastor dude, and the most hilarious illusionist on the face of the earth. The main thing I experienced at believe, though, wasn't the stunts or the magic, it was the message. I felt really moved by what I was being told; mainly that God wants me to speak his words to others by encouraging, defending and sharing information about him and his word. If any of you guys ever have the opportunity to go to believe I think you should take it, because it is something that you will not want to miss.-Liz
